Notice anything different driving into town on Thanksgiving? We have our first billboard up! The image is a scan of one of our David Homer McFarland paintings of the Great Bend. McFarland was a local artist notable for traveling the area on trains during the Great Depression and painting what he saw, for sale at the next stop. He was particularly inspired by the Great Bend of the Ohio River. To learn more about him and see some of his paintings, stop by the Museum. We're open Tuesday through Saturday 12-4, although closed the rest of this week for the holiday.
