TO:  POTENTIAL BIDDERS

  1.  Your firm is invited to submit an offer under seal to Owner (Superintendent of the Board of Parks and Recreation) for construction of an ADA entrance ramp at the Great Bend Museum located at 220 Lockhouse Road before 4:00 pm local standard time on February 21, 2025, for:

Project: ADA MUSEUM RAMP.  Work will include submitting engineer stamped drawing(s) for the fabrication and installation of ramp from the parking lot sidewalk to unobstructed double doors located on the east side of the museum. The ramp should be black powder coated steel.  Ramp must meet commercial building codes and the American with Disabilities Act. Tread should be open mesh in design. Handrails shall have pickets/spindles no more than 4” clear spacing.  Ramp shall be 4’ wide and shall be designed for a minimum uniform live load of 40psf plus a dead load of 10psf,
  3. Site visit may be scheduled prior to submitting bids by contacting Katrena Ramsey, Superintendent of Parks and Recreation at 304-532-5268,
  4. Bidders shall provide total number of construction days to completion,
  5. Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond of a sum no less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount.  Bid Security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders ten (10) days following opening of bid. The Bid Security of the successful bidder will be retained until they execute a surety bond for performance of the contract. If the successful bidder is not able to furnish surety bond within ten (10) days following award of contract, their Bid Security shall be forfeited to the City of Ravenswood, West Virginia. All bonds must be counter-signed by a West Virginia resident agent. A successful bidder shall be licensed to do business in the State of West Virginia and shall obtain a business license from the City of Ravenswood prior to commencing work on the ADA ramp project,
  6. Successful bidders shall have proof of liability insurance,
  7. This is a lump sum bid,
  8. WV is not a prevailing wage state.
  9. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "ADA MUSEUM RAMP BID.”  Electronic bids will not be accepted.  Bids must be received by February 21, 2025 at 4:00pm.
  10. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission.
  11. Bids will be publicly opened on March 4, 2025, at 7:00 pm during Ravenswood City Council meeting.
  12. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers.
