RESOLUTION

Appointing and Confirming Members to the Board of Zoning Appeals

WHEREAS, the City of Ravenswood has enacted §2.16.020 of the Ravenswood Municipal Code, in conformity to W. Va. Code §8A-8-1 and §8A-8-3, creating the Board of Zoning Appeals (hereinafter "Board"); and

WHEREAS, the Code requires the Mayor to nominate and the Common Council to appoint and confirm no more than five (5) members to said Board; and

WHEREAS, the Code states that Board members shall be appointed and serve as follows:  " One for a term of one year; two for a term of two years; and two for a term of three years.  The terms shall expire on the first day of January of the first, second, and third year, respectively, following their appointment.  Thereafter, members shall serve three-year terms;" and

WHEREAS, the Board presently has five (5) vacancies because of the expiration of the terms of all members due to the pandemic; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Ravenswood, hereby reappoints and confirms the following Mayoral nominations to the Board of Zoning Appeals, as follows:
