Mayor’s Statement Economic Enhancement Grant Fund Awards

Today, myself and several members of our staff attended the monthly West Virginia Water Development Authority board meeting in Charleston, WV. I announce with great pride that our city has been awarded several grants from the Economic Enhancement Grant Fund. I want to thank the WVDA board and everyone involved in the process for believing in these projects. I want to thank our city staff for their time, work, and patience as these projects were being developed. This is a historic moment for our community and surrounding areas. Below, is a list of the following grants awarded to the City of Ravenswood at today’s meeting:

• Phase 2B Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction: $32,375,000

• Sand Creek Pedestrian Bridge Construction: $1,657,896.06

• Welcome Center/Commercial Building Construction: $1,500,000

• (2) 14-spot Boat Slips for Marina Ohio River/Sand Creek - $400,000

• Boat Access Ramp Construction at Sand Creek Marina - $124,685.83

At a total of $36,057,581.90 in grant awards, I’m extremely thankful and honored to continue to work as your mayor to help build the future of Ravenwood, West Virginia. It’s time to get to work.
